Guided ToursSunday Walking Tour: Enjoy a 1.9 mile, two-hour walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Bainbridge House, Nassau Hall, the University Chapel and Palmer Square. The early history of Princeton, the founding of the University, the American Revolution: these are just some of the stories from Princeton’s history that you will hear on your tour. When: Every Sunday throughout the year (except major holidays; weather permitting) Group Walking Tours: Guided walking tours for a group of any size can be accommodated by the Historical Society of Princeton. HSP’s classic walking tour is a two-hour walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus. Tours can be shortened, as necessary, to accommodate a group’s time constraint. HSP’s experienced guides will enlighten your group with stories about Princeton’s people, architecture, and history. Specialized tours can also be arranged, including The Albert E. Hinds Memorial Walking Tour: African-American Life in Princeton, led by local historian Shirley Satterfield. When: available by appointment; arrangements should be made at least one month in advance

Click Here to print the 1783 walking tour brohure. Out-of-Town TripsMembers are given the opportunity to join the Historical Society's monthly day trips to historic sites in the tri-state area. Led by dedicated volunteer coordinators, the Historical Society travels to historic mansions, gardens, private homes and art museums, including Longwood Gardens, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Winterthur and the American Museum of Natural History.
