Part of The Growth of Nassau Street.
This house, originally constructed at the corner of Charlton and Nassau, has an uncertain history, though it is probably newer than the rest of the green oval properties. Architectural analysis has led some to suggest the building actually dates from the 1820s. Elsewhere it has been proposed that the house was built three decades later by Josiah Wright, a carpenter who would have lived here with his wife Louisa and their six children.
