The “Johnson Line” or the “Fast Line” of the Trenton-Princeton Traction Co. ran from Trenton to Princeton, terminating on Witherspoon Street. Its journey from Trenton to Princeton took about 40 minutes, ending on Witherspoon Street. The Line connected the two Jewish communities and helped Princeton’s growth during the early 20th century. Goods including Kosher meat were transported from Trenton to Braveman’s store daily.  In 1932, the trolley lines were replaced by buses and the tracks removed, but the route remained a central channel.
