Isaac and William Vogel with customers, March 1936. Princeton History Project. Historical Society of Princeton.
Louis Vogel first appears as a meat merchant in the Princeton Business Directory in 1896 with his address on Chambers Street. By 1902, the butcher shop had moved to 104 Nassau Street and operated as Vogel Brothers' Butcher Shop. While Louis’ brothers Isaac and William remained its proprietors, by 1919 Louis had become a partner of the Nassau Inn.
