We know very little about the history of this house, except that it seems to date from the end of the 18th century, possibly right around 1800. Its proximity to Worth’s Mill, the Sylvanius Hunt House, and the cluster around the Old Stone House suggest frequent contact with these neighbors. It might also have been a tenant house owned by somebody nearby.
Original Sections: one-room rear wing, oriented toward the Stony Brook
