Teachers will learn the historical context and impact of the shared history non-Native communities have with Indigenous peoples in New Jersey, both past and present. Videos featuring contemporary Native American Chiefs will be shown. Resource lists, including recommended websites and classroom activity ideas will provide teachers with the facts and tools to teach the history of
Native Americans, Christopher Columbus, and the first Thanksgiving.
