Historical Fiction Book Group

Date/Time
Date(s) - March 10, 2022
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Get immersed in the world of a historical time and place, and then engage with a scholar to learn the “real” story. At meetings of the Historical Fiction Book Group, scholars participate in discussions of the fictional elements and the nonfictional context of selected books.

This virtual session (via Google Meet) will feature discussion of Confessions of the Fox, by Jordy Rosenberg, with Farid Azfar, Associate Professor of Early Modern European History, Swarthmore College.

A New York Times Editors’ Choice, the novel reimagines the story of thief and jailbreaker Jack Sheppard in 18th century London to explore queer subcultures through imagined primary sources.

Co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library. Book Group sessions are NOT recorded.
