Announcing a new HSP signature event: HistoryFest!
This year, we will be celebrating Americana with a variety of performances and activities for all ages. Admission to Updike Farmstead is free!

Activities include:

1:15-3:45: Musician Matt Dodd’s “Songs & Stories of the Red, White, and Blue.”

2:30-4:30: Historic Stony Brook walking tour ($5; space is limited.)

2:00 and 3:00: American folk tales with storytellers MaryAnn Paterniti and Maria LoBiondo

3:30: Wiebke Martens and Jennifer Jang discuss their new book, Discovering Princeton.

In honor of the centennial of World War I, get up close and personal with original WWI artifacts and documents from HSP’s collection. 

Ongoing: Science of History
Learn how historians use tree ring analysis to determine the age of buildings (dendrochronology) in the historic Updike Barn, then date and decorate your own tree segment.
