About the speaker:
Steve Yacik has a passion for learning about and teaching US history. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University, with a BA in English; as he says, he “loves a good story.” After giving walking tours of downtown Bound Brook and its Revolutionary cemetery, Steve became a guide for the Historical Society of Princeton in 2021. He has created and led a variety of themed tours, including Spirits of Princeton, Oppenheimer and the atomic bomb, and Princeton University Chapel. He has also researched and presented lectures and courses for Princeton University, OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University, and the Washington Crossing American Revolution Roundtable. This Fall he is scheduled to lead his first class with the Princeton Adult School.
