Princeton Public Library, Discovery Center
65 Witherspoon Street
September has always meant “back to school” in Princeton! Stop by the Discovery Center at the Princeton Public Library to explore report cards, diplomas, and other archival materials from historic local schools, both public and private.
The Historical Society of Princeton’s Open Archive series allows visitors to interact with rare and little-seen artifacts and documents from HSP’s vast collection. Featuring a different theme each time, these events present historical material with minimal interpretation (no labels or glass boxes here!) and encourage visitors to make observations, ask questions, and be the historian themselves. HSP’s Curator of Collections and Research will be on hand to share information and answer any questions.
Co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library, Princeton Human Services, and the Historical Society of Princeton. This event is part of Princeton’s 4th Annual Welcoming Week, promoting inclusiveness, unity and diversity in the community.
