Before there was a “Princeton,” Quaker families established a community on the fertile ground along Stony Brook.
This part-lecture, part-2 mile hike explores the lives of the early settlers and the community they established, while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the “hidden” back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield.
Starts at Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road.
Tickets are $10. Advanced tickets required – no walk ups will be allowed.
Space is limited, and masks required for indoor portions of the tour.
If participants have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of the tour, we ask that they stay home and contact us for a full refund.
