Princeton’s Past. Seen, Shared and Preserved
The Historical Society of Princeton connects people to local stories that shape our community.
Princeton’s history is extraordinary-
shaped by remarkable thinkers, pivotal moments, and vibrant communities. The Historical Society of Princeton (HSP) is your gateway to discovering this history through the stories of the people who lived it.
At HSP, we believe history has enduring relevance. Understanding our rich and diverse local past strengthens communities, fosters civic engagement, builds critical thinking skills, and encourages empathy.
As stewards of Princeton’s history, we:
- Collect, preserve, and share Princeton’s past and present
- Develop and present educational programs for adults, students, and educators across the region
- Support and enhance classroom curriculum through resources and partnerships

Your Support Makes a Difference
Individual contributions are essential to sustaining our stewardship, exhibitions, public programs, and educational outreach. Every Annual Fund donation directly supports our history education initiatives—allowing HSP to expand the reach, accessibility, and impact of our programs. Together, we honor those who came before us and strengthen the spirit that keeps Princeton’s story alive.
