Want to learn more about Princeton’s role in J. Robert Oppenheimer’s life and the development of the atomic bomb? Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s award-winning film, this talk showcases the places where Oppenheimer  lived  and worked in Princeton (some seen in the film), shares stories about the local academics recruited to work on the Manhattan Project, and provides additional historic context not explored in the movie.

This free program commemorates the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Co-presented by the Historical Society of Princeton and Princeton Public Library.
